Easter is synonymous with Spring. Everyone loves Spring, the rebirth of flowers, birds and blossoming trees, all coloring our world again after a long winter season.
Pane di Pasqua has all the vibrant colors with the sprinkles and the dough braided into three pieces to form a wreath. The three pieces representing the Holy Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The wreath, represents the crown Jesus wore. Then we have the egg, finally new life, rebirth. The sweetness of life all wrapped up into this yummy bread.
